Highest quality bronze craftsmanship here in AMERICA. All products are made of solid cast bronze and are produced using the same lost wax technique used to produce other bronze art works. None of the products are bronze coated or sand cast. Bronze molds are individually hand-crafted using items gathered primarily from the forests of Northeastern Oregon and locally crafted clay models of animals. After the products are cast at one of the nationally known Wallowa County bronze foundries, they are individually hand finished and assembled by hand. The utmost care is taken to assure that each piece is truly a work of art as well as a functional hardware or accessory item. The Wildlife line is based on an Deer antlers and mountain scene theme and may also encompass basic elements used in the Forest Impressions© line. 	Bronze Pine Branch Curtain Rod Solid bronze pine branch curtain rods are a stunning addition to any room furnished in a rustic or outdoors theme. The 5/8" diameter rod is molded from a pine branch and has all the knots, bumps and bends of the original - it definitely is not a smooth, straight, machine-made piece....The rod itself is suitable for curtains and lightweight drapes. We have made rods as long as 89" where the customer's curtain was light enough that they did not have to use support brackets between the ends. But keep in mind that if the rod is going to be so long or the curtain so heavy that you will have to use one or more support brackets between the ends, you will not be able to slide the curtains back and forth....To finish your pine branch curtain rod, select appropriate finals from our "Finials & Newel Post Toppers" category. If you aren't going to be sliding the curtain back and forth, consider adding tiny lodgepole or western hemlock cones or small leaves randomly along the length of the rod as additional highlights....For brackets, you have two choices - plain and with set screw cone. The plain bracket is a length of pine branch cut to your specifications and into which is formed a deep "U" shaped depression that the rod simply rests in. This bracket is only suitable for fixed and level applications, not for a rod mounted at an angle, on a moveable surface or in a place where it might be dislodged. The bracket with the set screw cone is just like the plain bracket except that one of our open lodgepole mounting cones with a set screw on the back screws through the face of the bracket and into a pre-drilled hole in the rod, holding it firmly in place....Each of our curtain rods is made to your specifications. Call us to discuss your specific project and we will work up a formal quote for your consideration. The image above was taken of an 18'' prototype rod with medium lodgepole finials. The end mounting brackets incorporate mounting cones with set screws, while the center support illustrates the plain mounting bracket. Complete piece will cost a minimum of $10 per inch by the time the finials and mounting brackets.

Hood. In this case, the cone rests on a flattened side with a single taper cup nestled in the center. The cup, originally fashioned from pine bark, has a sharp point in the bottom to hold a standard taper candle firmly upright. To create a classic double taper, solid bronze candle holder, we mounted it in the center of a piece of pine bark with a single taper pine bark cup at either end. This solid bronze candle holder features two tiny, fully open western hemlock cones and one closed lodgepole cone, nestled around a single taper cup. The cup, originally fashioned from pine bark, rests in the center of the cones on a pine bark base and has a sharp point in the bottom to hold a standard taper candle firmly upright. Patina Explained

BASIC PATINA: finish consists of one coat of patina applied to the rough cast bronze and buffed. A light coat of sealant is then applied to protect the finish. TRADITIONAL PATINA: Finish initially looks exactly like Basic; however, a second application of patina and a light coat of sealant results in a soft coppery appearance, much like a new penny if you diluted the copper color a bit with gold. As with the Basic finish, recessed areas such as the interior of a cone or the low spots on a bark mounting base will be anywhere from slightly to significantly darker than the tips of petals or high spots on bark, depending on whether and how well they can be reached with the buffing pad. Because of this, some customers refer to this finish AS ''brassy highlights''. Full patina finish also initially looks exactly like Basic; however, we then apply a combination of blues, greens, grays, whites, browns and blacks appropriate to the scene. Again, these are not paints, but rather chemicals applied to the bronze and heated to produce subtle wilderness colors. A light coat of sealant is then applied to protect the finish.
